How I started learning Tai Chi Chuan ?

Ok, let's talk a little about my life style. I am an analyst systems, 35 years old, married, father of a little princess. I work a lot, commute every day and don't have much free time for sport practices. In order words, I am a sedentary guy.
But that hasn't being aways this way. In the past I used hiking, camping, playing soccer. And some of this activities with the partnership of my wife ( at that time, my girlfriend).
Me, my wife and my daughter in the 2020 christmas.

But in fact, since we got married, I became  sedentary , and indeed my wife. And this condition has increased after we got our first daughter.
During  the last five years came along some small health problems, like scoleosis and hanglund on one feet. In other words the stress of a modern life started charging it's price.
Then, I started looking for an activity who could fit my sparce  free time and provide me some health benefities. First I tried Judo. But after some months of a regular practice, I was thrown and falled in a bad way, injuring my back. That was enough. After some poundering I gave up.
Following I brought a bike and invested some time doing small rides in my neighborhood. It is a good exercise, but nothing challenger or exciting.
Then one day I had an insight, and remembered the classical image of some elders doing an oriental exercise with movents in slow motion, in a green garden, surrounded by trees in a sunny day. Oh! After some googling I confirmed. These exercises are called Tai Chi Chuan.

Searching on the internet for Tai Chi classes I discovered a lot of schools and teachers near my home (I consider near a distance of 50 miles or less). And due the corona virus pandemic, all of them were offering online classes. That sounded good, because I would not spend so many time travelling from home to Tai Chi classes.
But there was one thing. Thinking in the long journey towards learning Tai Chi, I wanted some school where the methodology was based in online studying. This would do a better fit in my routine (and in my wife routine too, allowing us to do a phisical activity together) and probably would provide me greater chances of development.

At that point I arrived at Bravo Kung Fu web site. At afirst glace it seemed to be what I was looking for. A school with a full curriculum oriented to teaching Tai Chi independently from availability to assist presencial classes.

I read all the content of the web site, explaining how the classes work, and subscribed at the same day. Then I started doing the first video lessons, and made my first phone contact to my teacher, Jonas Bravo.

Everything was going well. But I started to be suprerended the first time I sent a video with my performance, doing my workouts. I really could see how my teacher delivered time in analysing my performance and had put effort in correcting my errors in a pedagogic and gentle way. The first time I heard his considerations, I took a peace of paper and began to make notes, in order to focus on each point in an organized and efficient way.

Beyond the online materials, there is too the live classes two times a week, where I have the opportunity to learn direct from my teacher and receive instantly feedback on my performance.

This was about two months ago, and in this small time I areadynotice the benefits in my life. I am more concious of my body posture, breathing and more relaxed.
And I decided to create this blog in order to share my learning path in Tai Chi Chuan.
